After waiting what seems like eternity, we decided to get a cab since our pick-up car didn’t show up at Danang airport. We paid US$10 for a taxi to get us to Hoi An. Half hour later, we saw the ancient, well-preserved town of Hoi An. Its buildings and street plan reflect the influences, both indigenous and foreign, that have combined to produce a unique heritage site.

After three hours of bus ride from our hotel, we arrived at Halong City and board the traditional Chinese junk or cruise as they call it. Lunch is served while roaming around the labyrinth of the bay. We visited Sung Sot cave (The Sudden Surprise), a few rounds of kayaking and stop for a swim.
